Have you counted like all things in your life are crumbling and shifting apart? This form makes it hard for you to keep up. That's how I feel right now. Every second that I spend, I get older by it.
Tonight seems a little bit more emotional than the usual nights. It's a Friday night, instead of going out, here I am sitting in my bed munching fresh guava while writing this article. I desperately want you to see all of the photos I took when my family and I had a vacation in Bosnia seven years ago. It was the ten of us, two of my grandmothers and two drives that came along. I couldn't believe that life has changed for all of us. Things were so much different. I'm getting emotional writing this because right now, one of my grannies is having Alzheimer's. She no longer recognises me anymore. It's not like we've been super close with each other, but I had good memories with her when I was still a kid. When I think about it, she was the person who taught me how to fall in love with cooking. She used to ask me to help her cook for a warung she owned in front of her house in Madiun, which served breakfasts and lunches for people. I must say, I kind of miss her now. I pray every day that she still remembers our memories deep in her mind. I hope we can still meet someday, somewhere when our prayers collide in Jannah.
Being born a novelty isn't an easy thing to do, but through these photos, I hope I can transform you into the places that we've visited and feel the moments that we've gone through. Aforementioned is the main reason why I like to take photos and videos so much because they speak without words.
